How to find cheap flights from Bangladesh: 10 practical tips

Trip Findy Team · 22 September 2026 · 3 min read

Airfares are set by demand, so the same seat can cost very different amounts depending on when and how you book. None of these tips is a secret trick; together they reliably bring the price down.

1. Book early for peak dates

Eid, winter holidays and the start of the Gulf work season fill up fast. For those dates, book as soon as your plans are firm: the cheapest fare classes sell first, and what is left costs more.

2. Be flexible by a day or two

Moving your departure by a single day can change the price noticeably. Mid-week flights are often cheaper than Friday and Sunday departures. Try the dates either side of the one you want before you book.

3. Compare one-way and return

A return ticket is usually cheaper than two one-ways on full-service airlines, but not always on low-cost carriers. Search both ways, and consider flying out with one airline and back with another.

4. Look at nearby airports

For the UAE, Dubai (DXB) and Sharjah (SHJ) are about half an hour apart and Abu Dhabi (AUH) is not far. A flight into a different airport in the same area can be the better deal once transport is counted.

5. Count the baggage, not just the fare

The lowest fare may include little or no checked baggage. If you are carrying luggage, compare the total price with the bags you need. A slightly higher fare with 30 kg included can be cheaper than a basic fare plus an extra bag.

6. Read the fare rules before you pay

Cheaper fares often mean higher change fees or no refund. If your dates might move, a flexible fare can save money overall. On our site the fare rules and baggage for every option are shown before you book.

7. Consider a connection

A non-stop flight saves time, but a one-stop itinerary through Doha, Dubai, Istanbul or Kuala Lumpur can cost much less. Check the connection time and whether bags are checked through to your destination.

8. Search again closer to booking

Prices move several times a day. If you are not ready to pay, search again before booking; see our popular routes for the lowest fares other travellers found recently.

9. Book everyone together

Travelling as a family? Book all passengers in one booking so you sit together and share one reservation. Children and infants have their own fares, which the search works out for you.

10. Keep your documents ready

Have each traveller's passport details at hand when you book: names exactly as printed, date of birth and passport expiry. Our checkout can read a passport photo for you to avoid typing mistakes.
